Lean is a journey of discovery. A journey in which an organisation learns to realise customer value by developing its employees. This book describes the journey of the municipality of Breda. It wants to inspire the government to become more customer- and result-oriented and to work with less waste. The book uses case studies to give tips on how to get started with this and how to keep on doing it.

The Lean Management Institute was actively involved in the City of Breda's Lean journey. Because we thought it was such a success story, we were fortunately able to convince Erik to put it on paper and have us publish it.
